Hello mate✌✌✌

The limitation of Hooke's law is that there is a point beyond which his law is no longer true when stretching a material.

Hope it helps

Dear Student,

◆ Hooke's law -

  • Within the elastic limit, stress on body is directly proportional to strain produced in it.

Stress = E × Strain

Where, E = Modulus of elasticity

● Limitations of Hooke's law -

  • It is applicable to relatively small deformations only.
  • Deformation should be in elastic limit to apply Hooke's law.
  • When a body is streched pass its elastic limit is gets permanently deformed.

Thanks. Best luck..
