  • It is the main excretory organ in the body. It eliminates watse products (mainly urea) produced in the body through urine.

\large{\mathrm{\red{2.\:Function\:of\:Skin:}}}

  • It gives of bodily sweat (or perspiration). During perspiration, substance like sodium chloride, lactic acid, urea, amino acid and glucose etc. are excreted in small amounts through skin.

  • It removes carbon dioxide in water vapour from the body during respiration.

  • It breaks down toxins and excess amino acids in the blood .

  • The large intestine removes solid waste left after the digestion of food. The solid waste is removed in the form of faeces from the body.
