1) Habitat destruction is the major cause for destruction of biodiversity.Habitat destruction is caused by deforestation, overproduction, pollution and global warming.

2) Global warming is also becoming the major cause of loss of biodiversity.For example if present rate of global warming continues then coral reefs which are biodiversity hotspots are disappeared
