Reservation plays an important role in providing social justice to Dalits and Adivasis as it gives equal opportunity to those who were deprived of their social status for centuries. Those tribal groups who lived in the forest or hilly areas that are not suitable for settled agriculture were given an Indian term Adivasi. In order to make them active citizens of the state and to protect them from social exploitation in the workplace or educational institutes, the Constitution of India has declared the reservation for them. Through reservation the government has enabled the Adivasis to entertain the rights given to oth-ers. Which I think, plays an important role in delivering social justice.
