pressure is equals to force upon area. This is also known as Blaise Pascal Law of pressure. The tip of pen is shaped as to reduce the area and hence to increase the pressure. A camel can walk easily in desert because they have broad legs to increase the area and hence to reduce the pressure on the sand .
