For example-

Let Hypotenuse to be x

Base=5

Perpendicular=12

By Pythagoras theorem

Hypotenuse)²= (Base)²+ (Perpendicular)²

x²= 5²+12²

x²= 25+144

Hypotenuse ²= 169

Taking square root to remove sq. from Hypotenuse

169= 13×13

169=√13

Hypotenuse= 13
