Wheat is cultivated in Rabi season because it does not require high amount of water, and hence this season is suitable for it.

•Rabi season is around mid November.

•It is the time when monsoon are over.

•Harvesting of crops down in rabi season begins at - April/May.

•Wheat growth requires temperature of 21°C to 24°C.

•Wheat needs sunshine too, for optimum growth.

•If wheat is grown in kharif season, rather than Rabi season, then they will get excess of water.

•Excess of water may cause water stress, thus destroying the crops.
