The liver has multiple functions, but its main function within the digestive systemis to process the nutrients absorbed from the small intestine. Bile from the liver secreted into the small intestine also plays an important role in digesting fat. In addition, the liver is the body's chemical "factory."

digestive enzymes are of high importance in human body as different enzymes are are responsible for breakdown of different types of substances (fats, proteins, carbohydrates, etc.). without the presence of enzymes the complex food eaten by us could not be broken down into simpler substances. and formation of blood would also be not possible
