Explanation:

The following are the properties of electromagnetic waves :

(1) They are transverse in nature

(2) They travel with the same speed of light in vaccum (i.e C = 3×20^8m/s) and in material medium their velocity is' u ' and t are absolute permeability and permittivity of that medium .

(3) They don't require any material medium for their propagation .

(4) They consist of produced by accelerated or oscillating charge .

(5) They are produced by accelerated or oscillating charge .

(6) The energy in e.m wave is equally divided between the electric and magnetic field vectors

(7) Both E and B vectors attain Maxima and minima at the same place and at the same time.

(8) The electromagnetic waves obey the principle of superposition .

(9) The electric vector is called light vector as it is responsible for optical affects due to an e.m wave.
