Archimedes principle states that when a body is immersed partially or completely in a fluid, it experiences an upthrust which is equal to the weight of the liquid displaced.

Archimedes principle has many application it is used in designing sheep and sabmarine lactometer metre which are used to determine the purity of sample of milk and hydrometer used to determine the density
