Newton's law of gravitation:

F=G \frac{Mm}{ {r}^{2}}

G= \frac{Fr^{2}}{Mm}</p><p>

In CGS unit system:

r - distance = cm,

M,m - mass = grams

F - force - dyne = gcm/s^2

Therefore units of G -

 \frac{(g \: cm \:  {s}^{ - 2})( {cm}^{2})  }{ {g}^{2} }  =  {cm}^{3} {g}^{ - 1} s^{ - 2}
