• UPRIGHT OR AN ERECT IMAGE:- The image formed on the plane mirror is upright.

•LITERALLY INVERTED IMAGE IS FORMED:- If we see the image attach there is left right in version of the words seen . This is called lateral inversion.

•SIZE OF THE IMAGE:- when we stand in front of a dressing mirror do we find a different Sinha height and the height of the image? size of the image formed by plane mirror is always equal to the size of the object.

• DISTANCE OF THE IMAGE FROM MIRROR:- when we stand in front of a plane mirror and move a step ahead are image also moves a step ahead. it shows that the distance of the image from the mirror is equal to the distance of the object from the mirror.

• VIRTUAL IMAGE:- nature of the image is virtual not real. a virtual images mostly and erect image and cannot be obtained on the screen. it is formed behind the mirror.
