1•) These are heterotrophic eukaryotic organisms.

2•)They use decaying organic material as food and are therefore called saprophytes.

3•)Many of them have the capacity to become muticellular organisms at certain stages in their lives .

4•)They have cell-wall made of a tough complex sugar called chitin.

5•)Some fungal species live in permanent mutually dependent relationships with blue-green algae ( orcyanobacteria ).

6•) Such relationships are called symbiotic.

7•) These simbiobic life forms are called Lichens.

Examples of fungi are :

 Fungi is the kingdom in the biological classification of organism which include all Eukaryotic organism.

 They have Heterotrophic , saprophytic , parasites and symbiosis Nutrition present.

1] Heterotrophic – Those organism which do not prepare their own food means depend on other organsims for food called Heterotrophic .

2] Saprophytic – Those organism which eat dead and decaying organic matter called saprophytic Nutrition .

3] Parasites – Those organism which lives and feeds on other living organisms called parasites organisms  

4] Symbosis – Those organisms which have mutual sharing means give and take relation called Symbosis nutrition .

 In fungi reproduction may be Asexual or sexual reproduction .

 They are actually Non – vascular tissues.

 They used to store their food in the form of starch.

 The cell wall of fungi made up of chitin and polysaccharides.
