instructions : ( this answer is not from Google and copy paste answer )

chemical properties of carbon compounds :

(1) combustion : all the carbon compounds burnt in Oxygen and carbon dioxide and water vapour .heat and light are also released during this process is this reaction is called combustion .

(2) oxidation : oxidation is a process of intake of Oxygen andremoval of hydrogen . those substance which are capable of providing oxygen to other substances are called oxidizing agent

(3) addition reaction : the reaction in which reagent adds completely on a substance without the removal of small molecules are called addition reaction .

  • hydrogenation of vegetables oil in the presence of nickel catalyst gives this process is called hardening of oils

(4) substitution reaction : the reaction in which area gents an atom or a group of atoms from the reactant are called substitution reaction . these are generally shown by saturated compounds and benzene .

I hope it's help you and please mark it brainlist
