Hello dilpreet!!
Here;'s your answer,
If thew pressure applied on the solution is greater than its osmotic pressure, then the direction of osmosis is reversed i.e., the solvent starts passing solution to solvent. The phenomenon is called reverse osmosis.
Hope it helps!!
Thankyou!!!:))))

Dear Dilpreet,
● Osmosis -
- Osmosis is the spontaneous movement of solvent molecules through a semipermeable membrane from a region of low solute concentration to a region of high solute concentration.
● Reverse osmosis -
- Reverese osmosis is a process by which a solvent molecules passes through a semipermeable membrane from high conc. to lower conc.
# Condition for reverse osmosis -
- Reverse osmosis occurs when hydrostatic pressure more than osmotic pressure is applied to the opposite side.
Thanks..
