Monarchy

  • A monarchy state is a country or a state, in which the head of the country is a hereditary king of queen.
  • There are no elections or representatives.
  • Eg:- England and Bhutan are ruled by Kings and Queens and therefore, they're a non-republic democracy.

Republic

  • A republic is that form of government which has an elected representative as the head of a State for a fixed period of time.
  • Such a head of the state has no hereditary right.
  • In India, the President is the head of the state and us elected by the members of the Parliament and State Legislative Assemblies for a fixed period of five years.
  • Eg:- India and USA.
