Difference between biotic and non-biotic resources:
Everything present on the earth that can be utilized by humans for fulfilling our various purposes are called as resources. On the basis of their origin they are classified into two groups: biotic and abiotic or non biotic.
Biotic Resources:
- Biotic resources are living in nature.
- Biotic resources are those resources which are living in nature are called as biotic resources. For example, the flora and fauna.
- Flora includes all the plant varieties including microorganisms and fauna consists of all the animal life.
Non-Biotic Resources:
- Non-biotic are non-living in nature.
- Abiotic resources are those which are non-living in nature, or whose origin is not from any living organisms.
- For example wind, sunlight, earth itself etc.
