•Jute is grown in sandy and clayey loams and also alluvial soil found near flood plains and deltas of river .
•Cotton is grown in sandy soil needs a soil pH of 5.5. Lighter sandy soil is best for cotton production.
♦
•Cotton is obtained from the fruit of the cotton plant.
•Jute is obtained from the stem of the jute plant.
♦Also there is a difference in the tensile strength of jute and cotton.
Jute fibres are stronger than cotton fibres.
Hope it helps!!!
