The components of homogeneous mixtures can't be seen with naked eye while the components of heterogeneous mixtures can be seen with the naked eye.

For example:

Homogeneous: (1)mixture of sugar and water (2)mixture of salt and water.

Heterogeneous:(1) mixture of sand and water (2) mixture of oil and water.
