State the difference between the Nasal cavity and ear canal.

ear canal helps in hearing ,it is also used for balancing equlibrim state of body

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NASAL CAVITY AND EAR CANAL ARE :-

NASAL CAVITY :-

  • It is a part of a nose
  • External nostrils leads to canal called nasal cavity
  • It is surrounded by layer called mucus glands
  • olfactory receptors present in the mucus membrane helps in recognising smell

EAR CANAL :-

  • It is a part of ear
  • External ear leads to canal called ear canal
  • It is surrounded by a layer of wax and oil secreted by ceruminous and sabaceous glands
  • Tympanic membrane connected at the end of avidorty canal are present and helping hearing sounds
