1. Himalayan rivers get water from snow as well as rain whereas Peninsular rivers get water only from rain.

2. The drainage basin of Himalayan rivers is larger than that of Peninsular rivers.

3. Himalayan rivers form V-shaped valleys while Peninsular watercourses having a U-shape.

4. Himalayan rivers are perennial whereas Peninsular rivers are non perennial.

5. Himalayan rivers form meanders but Peninsular rivers are straight.
