WHAT IS ACID RAIN?

An natural phenomenon in which the amount of acid increases in rain water due to human activities is called Acid Rain.

HOW ACID RAIN OCCURS?

1. Acid Rain Occurs due to air and environment pollution.

2.Human activities such as industrialisation, deforestation , smoking etc. are responsible for these.

3.When amount of polluted gas rises it comibine with water vapour present in atmosphere and form acid. like carbonmonoxide,sulphurdioxide and forms acids like carbonic acid, sulphuric acids etc.

4.That acids precipitates causing immense damage.

EFFECTS OF RAINWATER :-

1. Damage aquatic life of fishes and other animals living in pond,rivers etc.

2.It damages crop and vegetation causing immense lose.

3.It harm monuments and building by gradually eating up them i.e corrosion.

4.It affect pure water and make them unfit for drinking.

5.It pollutes soil and causes soil erosion affecting many plants and animals.
