Friction depends partly on the smoothness of the contacting surfaces , a greater force being needed to move two surfaces past one another if they are rough than they are smooth .
Example :- The weight of the object .

Answer:

nature of surface and weight of the object ...

Explanation:

factors affecting friction:

as we know friction is the force that resist the movement of a solid object or of fluids sliding over each other .

.....It depends whether the surface is rough or smooth . if the surface is rough then the friction will be more . and as the surface is smooth then the friction will be less .

.....Weight of object also affect the rate of friction as a heavy body give more pressure to the surface .
