Five divisions of Bahamani Empire

The Bahamani kingdom by the year 1526, saw five divisions with five independent sultanates.  The five divisions of the Brahamani empire were:

a. Ahmadnagar

b. Bijapur

c. Berar

d. Golkonda

e. Bidar.

The founder of this kingdom was Alauddin Bahman Shah who was also known as Hasan Gangu. After a period of confusion and battles, the Bahmani kingdom merged as the representative of the Muhammadan rule in Southern India. But the kingdom reached its peak only under the guidance of Mahmud Gawan.
