Answer:

The rate of evaporation depends on the liquid's exposed surface area (faster when increased), the humidity of surroundings (slower when increased), the presence of wind (faster when increased) and the temperature (faster when increased).

The five factors in which the rate of evaporation depends on :-

Surface area :- Surface area is directly proportional to the evaporation. It means that when surface area increases then the evaporation take faster for example :- In a summer season ponds will be dry easily whereas well doesn't.

Temperature :- Temperature is directly proportional to the evaporation, when temperature is increases then evaporation is also increases.

Humidity :- It is inversely proportional to the rate of evaporation i.e, when humidity is high in the environment then the rate of evaporation is lower and viceversa.

Wind speed :- wind speed is directly proportional to the environment it means that when an increase in the speed of wind the moist air is replaced by dry air and hence higher wind speed have faster evaporation.for example the wet clothes dry quickly on windy day because of evaporation and we know that evaporation is faster in windy day.

Nature of the liquid :- The rate of evaporation depends upon the nature of liquid some liquid like petrol, alcohol, evaporates faster than water.
