Answer:

Given equation is 2x²-√5x+1=0

On comparing with ax²+ bx + c = 0 we get

a = 2, b = -√5 and c = 1

D = b²- 4ac

= (-√5)²- 4 × 2 × 1 = 5-8

∴ Discriminant =−3<0

Since, discriminant is negative ∴ quadratic equation 2x² - √5x + 1 = 0

has no real roots . i.e, imaginary roots.
