The form in which the unused carbohydrates of plants are stored is starch.

Similarly, the unused carbohydrates in humans are stored in the form of glycogen.

The plants prepare food through a process of photosynthesis with the help of water and carbon dioxide in the presence of sunlight, the final product that is the starch produces in stored in various parts of the plants to be utilized during unfavourable conditions.
