The portal vein or hepatic portal vein (HPV) is a blood vessel that carries blood from the gastrointestinal tract, gall bladder, pancreas and spleen to the liver.

Bowman's capsule is a sac like organ present at the tabular end of the nephron, encapsulate glomerulus in it. The function of glomerulus is to filter blood and produce glomerulus filtrate which is collcted by Bowman's capsule.
