State the function of mucus and hair calls present in the nasal passage of human respiratory system

In the nasal passage, hair are present. They prevent the entry of harmful solid particles entering our delicate trachea which would otherwise cause injury to inner surface of trachea. Mucus is sticky which again traps harmful particles.
Mucus in food pipe lubricates the food bollus and makes its passage easy.
