if only gynoecium is present,then it is female part of flower,ovary is female part of flower.Gynaecium is female whorl and its membrane are called carples.these may be separate or united ovary is present at the basal end of style in ovary in ovules embryo sac is formed in each ovule by meiosis.Each consists of haploid egg cell and 2 polar nuclei
one male gametes unites with egg cell to form zygote This is fertilization after fertilization,double fertilization occurs then zygote develops at cost of food stored in endosperm of seed and thus a new plantlet is formed.This is called seed germination
