Answer:

Ground Tissue- Ground tissue carries out different functions based on the cell type and location in the plant, and includes parenchyma (photosynthesis in the leaves, and storage in the roots), collenchyma (shoot support in areas of active growth), and schlerenchyma (shoot support in areas where growth has ceased)is the site of photosynthesis, provides a supporting matrix for the vascular tissue, provides structural support for the stem, and helps to store water and sugars.

Thick Cuticle- However, in plants that grow in very hot or very cold conditions, the epidermis may be several layers thick to protect against excessive water loss from transpiration. A waxy layer known as the cuticle covers the leaves of all plant species. The cuticle reduces the rate of water loss from the leaf surface.

Potometer- A potometer is a piece of apparatus designed to measure water uptake in a leafy shoot. There are 2 types of potometer – the bubble potometer and the weight potometer.

Centromere- The centromere of the chromosome provides a binding site for the mitotic spindle fiber that will attach to each sister chromatid and pull them to opposite ends of the parent cell, which will ultimately become the cytoplasm of the two daughter cells.

Answer:

Hi dude here is your answer...

Explanation:

● Function of Guard cells

__________________________

Guard cells are cells surrounding each stoma. They help to regulate the rate of transpiration by opening and closing the stomata. Plants 'breathe'

and 'sweat' through their stomata which are regulated by guard cells. Guard cells have a very important jobs because by opening and closing stomata, they facilitate gas exchange for photosynthesis and help minimize water loss.

● Function of Thick Cuticle

____________________________

Plant Cuticle is the outermost layer of plants, which covers leaves, fruits, flowers, and non - woody stems of higher plants. It protects plants against droughts, extreme temperatures, UV radiation, chemical attacks, mechanical injuries, and pathogen/ pest infection.

● Function of Potometer

____________________________

A potometer is a piece of apparatus designed to measure water uptake in a leafy shoot. There are 2 types of potometer - the bubble potometer and the weight potometer.

● Function of Centromere

_____________________________

The Centromere is a specialised a DNA sequence of chromatids. During mitosis spindle fibres attached to the centromere via the kinetochore. Centrosomes were first thought to be genetic loci that direct the behaviour of chromosomes.
