Explanation:

Liver produces bile juice which is helpful for making the acidic medium of the chyme to basic medium for emulsification of fats, digesting amino acids and carbohydrates in the deodenum by the pancreatic juice.

Oesophagus helps as a path to transfer the partially digested food (bolus) to the stomach for digesting it fully.

Answer:

Though Liver and oesophagus neither functions any digestion nor release any digestive enzymes, it is very important.

Explanation(Why):

This is because --

  • Liver produces bile which breaks down fats into simple soluble particles which makes digestion of fats easier. Digestion of fats is very difficult for all, enzymes. The bile is stored in a sac-like structure called the gall bladder. If there was no liver, then there was no bile and if there was no bile, then digestion of fats would be very difficult.

  • Oesophagus, which is a very long tube, connects the pharynx to the stomach. Food is pushed down the oesophagus by a series of contractions. This means; The part of the oesophagus just above the bolus food contracts and pushes it down. Then it relaxes and the next part of the oesophagus above the bolus food contracts and pushes it more down and so on. This wavelike movement, controlled by muscles, is called peristalsis.

Hope it helps!!!!!
