  1. Renal Artery. You have two kidneys, and the main functions of these organs are to remove waste from the bloodstream. Arteries are numerous in your body. They are blood vessels that are responsible for (with a couple of exceptions) carrying oxygenated blood through the body.
  2. Bowman's capsule is a sac like organ present at the tabular end of the nephron, encapsulate glomerulus in it. The function of glomerulus is to filter blood and produce glomerulus filtrate which is collcted by Bowman's capsule and pass it to the proximal tubule and then to the distal tube of the nephron
  3. The filtrate then enters the renal tubule, of the nephron. The glomerulus receives its blood supply from an afferent arteriole of the renal arterial circulation. The rate at which blood is filtered through all of the glomeruli, and thus the measure of the overall renal function, is the glomerular filtration rate
  4. The collecting duct system of the kidney consists of a series of tubules and ducts that physically connect nephrons to a minor calyx or directly to the renal pelvis
