First of all, our national leaders were inspired by the right of freedom that was exercised in all the developed nations of the world.

They fought to gain this freedom for the citizens of India from the British rulers.

Then they found that the right to education should be equal for all, for educating the general mass of the country.

The ideals of social, religious and political equality also inspired them to declare this country as secular, democratic and republic in the Constitution of India.
