 \underline \bold {Excretion}

Some of the by products of metabolism are poisonous and have to be sent out of the body.Hence, Excretion is important because in this process all waste materials are throuwn out of the body.After the food is broken into simple substances,a part of the food that cannot be used by the body gets accumulated as wastes which have to be thrown out. In animals the solid wastes are thrown out as faeces and excess water with dissolved harmful substances as urine and sweat.In plants,the waste products are excreted either as gases through the stomata or as gum and resin.

Hope it helps!!
