Law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor be destroyed, it can only be transformed from one form to another, but as such the total energy in this universe remains constant.

This law was states by Robert Mayor, a German physicist in 1842 and was firmly established by Helmholtz.

Device which convert electrical energy into mechanical energy - An electrical motor. It uses electrical energy to run various electrical appliances. For example - A fan , mixer, grinder, etc.
