conservation means constant .if the momentum is constant then the law of conservation of mamentum is applicable.in the head on elastic collision thier is two bodie A&B.
the two bodies are collided two each the will be shared from A to B.then the two bodies are losses energy .the motion in them is there .so the balls have the law s of motion
