hey friend,

law of constant proportions:- it state that a pure chemical compound always contains the same elements combined together in the same definite proportion by mass.

let's take an example:-

hydrogen and oxygen are combined in the ratio 1:8 by mass, and water is formed.

Hello Deepu,

Law of Constant Proportion states that elements combine in a fixed ratio by mass to form compounds . It was given by Proust. It is also known as law of definite proportion.

For
example:- Oxygen and hydrogen combine hydrogen to oxygen in  the ratio of 1:8 by mass . So, when 1 water molecule is decomposed we get hydrogen and oxygen in the ratio 1:8.

hope it helps u..........
