Why is it easier for men to swim in seawater then in river water ?

It is easier to swim in sea water than in a river because, the sea water contains salt which increases the density of water and also increases its upthrust so, the body sinks less in it and we swim easily.

State the law of Flotation.

When any boat displaces a weight of water equal to its own weight, it floats. This is often called the "principle of flotation": A floating object displaces a weight of fluid equal to its own weight.

Answer:

LAW OF FLOATATION :

When any boat displaces a weight of water equal to its own weight, it floats. This is called law of flotation.

It is easier to swim in seawater than in river water because sea water contains more amount of salt as compared to river water As a result its density increases and hence buoyant force increases which makes it easier to swim in seawater.
