we fall in forward direction if a moving bus suddenly stops because we were in motion and when the bus stops, we still tend to be in motion. that's why we fall in forward direction and we fall backward direction when bus suddenly accelerates from rest because we were at rest and we tend to be at rest still when the bus accelerates suddenly.
