The laws of flotation state that-
1. If density of an object is less than the water, it will float
2. If density of an object is more than the water, it will sink.
3. If the density of object is equal to the density of the water, it will almost be submerged.
It is easier to swim in sea water than river water because the water of sea has higher salt content which provides us the buoyancy.
