1) the force of limiting friction depend upon the nature of surface in contact and tangentially to the interface between the two surface. (2) the direction of limiting friction or force is always opposite to the direction of tendency of motion or motion.(3) limiting friction doesn't depend on the area in contact.(4) the limiting friction is directly proportional to the normal reaction.

Answer:

1) The direction of force of friction is always opposite to the direction in which the body tends to move.

2) The limiting friction between two surfaces depends upon the nature of surface and the state of roughmass.

3) The limiting force of friction between two surfaces is independent of the area of surface in contact so long as normal reaction remains same.

4) The limiting force of friction act tangentally

along the surface of contact of two bodies.

5) The limiting force of friction to directly proportional to the normal reaction between two surfaces.
