Materials Needed:-

1. Mirror

2. Torch

3. Papers

Procedure:-

  1. Make a hole in the centre of the paper.
  2. Take another sheet and draw a Normal.
  3. Place a mirror on a table vertically.
  4. Attach the paper with the Normal to the mirror.
  5. Now, light a torch on the mirror through the small hole such that the ray of light falls on the normal at the bottom of the mirror.

This activity shows that the incident ray,

reflected ray and the normal, at the point of incidence, all lie in same plane.
