Answer:

The following are the main laws of resistance:

  • Resistance of a conductor is directly proportional to its length, provided temperature and other physical conditions remain unchanged. It means that the same wire of diffrent length will have diffrent resistance provided the area of cross section of the wire will be same .
  • Resistance of a conductor is inversely proportional to its area of cross section, other conditions remaining the same. It means that the same wire of diffrent area of cross section will have diffrent resistance provided the length of the wire will be same .
  • Resistance depends on the nature of the material of the conductor. It means, if we take equal lengths of wires of copper, aluminium and iron and all of the same cross-sectional area, their resistance are different from each other since they are of different materials.

Explanation:

law othe resistence

The resistence of the material depends upon the four factors

1st law of resistence

the resistence of a conductor is directlyroportional to the length of the conductor

2nd law of resistence

the resistence of the conductor is inversly proportional to the cross sectional area of the conductor

3rd law of the resistence

the resistence of the conductor depends upon the nature of the conductor

4th law of conductor

resistence of the conductor is depends upon the temperature

R proportional to L/A

R= pL/A

A×R =p L

p= A×R/L

p= m^2ohm/m= m ohm

its unit is ohm
