GASTRIC GLANDS are present in the walls of the stomach and secrete GASTRIC JUICE..The Gastric juice contains three substances-1)Hydrochloric acid,2)Enzyme Pepsin,3)Mucus…….Enzyme Pepsin helps in digestion of proteins and works on in the presence of an Acid i.e.HCL….Hydrochloric acid helps in the functionality of Pepsin and kills any BACTERIA thant may have entered along with the food….M Mucus protects the Inner lining of the Stomach from its own secretion I.e. HCL as HCl is an Acid and causes the erosion of inner lining of Stomach..

Gastric Glands are present in the walls of the stomach which secrete Gastric Juice.

It contains 3 substances:

1. Hydrochloric Acid: It kills any bacteria that may have entered with the food.

2. Pepsin ( Enzyme ): It helps in digestion of proteins.

3. Mucus: It protects the Inner Lining of the stomach from the action of the acid under normal conditions.
