gastric gland is present in the inner lining of the stomach. It releases the enzymes pepsin. It also releases mucous and HCl.

Pepsin-breakdown protein

HCl-kills bacteria and activation of pepsin

mucous-protects the innerlining of stomach from acid reaction

Hey!

Gastric glands are located in central stomach areas.

Gastric glands secret gastric juices which help in digestion of protein, carbohydrates and other substances.

Hope this helps ✌✌
