-Highest peaks are located here

Himachal
-Known as the Lesser Himalayas
-Height ranges from 3700 to 4500 m
-Mostly made of altered and compressed rocks
-Home to various hill stations
Pir Panjal, Dhaula Dhar and Mahabharat 

Shiwaliks
-Outermost range, known as Outer Himalayas
-Made mostly of sand and gravel
-Height ranges from 900-1100 m
-Home to various valleys like Kotli Dun,Patli Dun etc
