Answer:

Explanation:

FUNCTIONS OF ABSCISIC ACID

1. It is a plant growth inhibitor which promotes senescence of plant.

2. It promotes the growth, development and dormancy of seed.

3. It helps the plant to withstand stressful conditions, hence it is called the STRESS HORMONE.

FUNCTIONS OF CYTOKININS

1. It induces rapid cell division in plant tissues.

2. It helps to delay senescence in plants by mobilizing minerals

3. It is also helpful in overcoming Apical Dominance.

Answer 2:

a. Auxin

b. Auxin is formed at the shoot and root tips. When light falls on the shoot tip, auxin moves towards the shadier side of the shoot. As it promotes cell division there, on side tends to grow much more than the other and so it causes bending of the shoot tip.
