Answer:

Explanation:

There are five types of parenting styles:

  • Authoritarian
  • Permissive
  • Uninvolved
  • Authoritative

Authoritarian

It involves low level of affection and high levels of control and expectation  and a strict disciplinary life. This style of parenting makes the child aggressive and rebellious.

Permissive

This style involves high level of warmth and low level of control. There is no expectation and rules in this style. Parents are very loving and nurturing but lack of involvement brings a lack of confidence and low level of self control in child.

Uninvolved

Under this style there is a low level of warmth and control. It does not utilise any disciplinary pattern. Communication is little and the child is usually free. Because of this uninvolvement of parents, young children turn out to be depressed and problem makers.

Authoritative

Under this style there is both high level of affection and control. Parents in this case are reasonable, set high expectations, state  the rules and regulations clearly and are involved in frequent communication with the child. This helps the child very component in all fields. This is very effective style of parenting, however it also tends to be most demanding style in terms of parental energy and time.

Hope this helps.
