Question :-

State the mathematical formulas that relate thrust and pressure list the factors on which the pressure depends and explain how it depends on them.

Answer :-

The mathematical formula for thrust and pressure is :

\boxed{\mathsf{Pressure = \frac{Thrust}{ Area}}}

Factors on which pressure depends

(i) Pressure is directly proportional to thrust .

⇒ If the thrust is increased , pressure increases .

⇒ If thrust is decreased , then pressure decreases .

(ii) Pressure is inversely proportional to the area on which it is applied.

⇒ If area is increased pressure decreases.

⇒ If area is decreased pressure increases .

Hope it helps !
